there is no way lana gays are anything but tops. how can any gay listen to lana and not want to top? it doesnt add up. as a lana gay who identifies as a vers top i feel that this is an affront to everything lana stands for
your first mistake was admitting that you are, in fact, a lana gay, thus showing your bias. no singular person has listened to lanas music and wanted to top as a result. lanas entire aesthetic is about doing controlling the situation while letting her partner believe they have the control and rewarding her for it. her gays can be nothing else but power bottoms
a lot of what you said is true but it must be taken into consideration that lanas songs are typically directed at the listener, lana feeds into the top narrative of control and having someone take your all. this is why lana gays must be tops. because while lana says things a powerbottom might say and be about, it is directed at the listener, who is a top.
a listener engages with a song to project themselves into the positions of the singer. lana sings about her exploits with manipulating her many sugar daddies and her desire to seek out more material things from them, and it is this message that isolates any top who may listen, since they cannot relate to it. the only gays who could understand lanas experience enough to stan her are power bottoms

Before He Cheats – Carrie Underwood: A woman totally trashes her boyfriend’s car after he cheats on her to teach him a lesson.

Carrie Underwood: A woman figures out her husband is cheating by the stains on his clothes, then proceeds to tell all the neighbors and hang the shirt out front in case he dares to show back up again.
“Independence Day” by Martina McBride: the mom burns down the house to escape her abusive husband.
And Miranda Lambert has a lot of “fuck you/this” sounding songs about revenge and cheating: – “Kerosene”: it’s heavily implied by the lyrics and video that she’s burning down her ex’s house for cheating. – “Mama’s Broken Heart”: is more about her mom trying to shame her for falling apart after a break-up, and the video is a wild bird-flipping romp around the house making herself up to look “crazy” and “hysterical” to spite her.
Adding to this: “Something bad” A duet by Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood where two girls run off to have a night on the town- presumably after the one ran away from her own wedding and took her entire life’s savings with her.
Back to the original murder theme, I highly recommend “Looking Back Now” (originally titled “Whiskey and a Gun”) by Maggie Rose. Woman shoots her cheating boyfriend/husband, goes to jail, ends up shooting the prison guard who rapes her. (Okay, so she dies by lethal injection at the end, but still, awesome song.)

Slightly off to one side of the main theme, but: Dar Williams’s “Flinty Kind of Woman” is about the women of a small New England town who band together to hunt down (and, it is implied, kill) a child molester.
So my friend is an acting major looking to get into broadway stuff, so she’s been doing a lot of voice training. Usually she does covers of broadway songs, but sometimes she gets bored and decides to sing other things.
She did a cover of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and her voice coach liked it so much he liked mixed it and everything and it sounds great.
