I honestly expected that Ginny, of all independent girls in HP, would be the one to keep her last name when she married Harry but surprise surprise lol Maybe Ginny didn’t like the surname Weasley because it sounds funny and sort uglyish, i don’t blame her there :-/

(my headcanons) she loves the Weasley name. She loves being a Potter as well though and she’s fucking proud of it. I don’t think she changed because she didn’t like “Weasley” or any other reason. I think it’s her own decision to proudly carry POTTER name on her back (literally) because Harry didn’t have anyone else from his family anymore. And that’s a way to have him during her quidditch matches, considering how nostalgic Harry would be about playing Quidditch.
