That thing Tumblr constantly goes on and on about. About cultural erasure. But I guess when the USSR decided to effectively wipe out a the cultures of millions of people that’s somehow different.

That’s somehow excusable, to punish people for staying true to their roots. To torture them, starve them, have their families and children die because they didn’t adhere to these foreign ideals forced upon them.

I guess all of the people who had to leave their beloved homeland due to forced takeover, due to Imperialistic takeover just by another name, because it was ‘in the name of communism’ that makes it okay?

the communist manifesto literally says violence is a must in order to achieve “that utopia” problem is the violence never leaves because the governments are never satisfied because COMMUNISM NEVER WORKS. If you support communism you don’t support the ideal it wants to be, but the dictatorships they actually are, and you’re a misinformed piece of shit

This is so important! You won’t believe how terrible not only the period of communism itself is but also/especially the years of recovery that follow. Albania (my country) was crushed by an evil regime that completely isolated it from the world and put a halt to any kind of progress for nearly half a century. It’s now 27 years later and we still suffer the consequences. To anyone who dares say “…but it’s actually pretty effective in principle…” I say it doesn’t matter at all: we know by now that it doesn’t work and will never work! STOP ROMANTICIZING COMMUNISM!
