i just made my self so emotional thinking about neville and ginny and luna being baby friends over the years. how did they become friends okay? this is very important to me.

ginny and luna being paired up in potions second year, ginny liking luna right away and telling her so and luna saying, “oh that’s nice.”

ginny catching up with luna in the halls, asking her if she’s done her charms homework. that maybe they could work on it together. because luna is hella smart, and ginny is sure as hell going to recognize that and take advantage of it. 

neville finding ginny crying in an empty classroom her second year. and he doesn’t quite know what to do, just pats her back awkwardly and tells her it will be okay. 

ginny asking neville for help with some plant she has to grow for a herbology project. ginny asking neville for help with stuff. because he’s good at it, he just doesn’t realize it.

neville asking ginny to the ball. the two of them having SO MUCH FUN. ginny kissing him goodnight on the stairwell.

ginny sitting with neville in the greenhouse, listening to him talk about plants.

the three of them talking together in general. and being generally invested in each other’s interests even though they have no interest of their own beyond each other’s happiness. neville and ginny listening fondly to luna go on about ridiculous magical creatures, and them in turn listening to ginny rant about quidditch and her brothers. 

the three of them doing homework together. going to hogsmead together.

ginny trekking over to luna’s during the summers. reading neville’s letters over tea. neville talks about visiting his parents and his gran and how his project plant is coming along. the two of them being so happy to hear about his progress. and ginny helping luna paint her room. bursting into tears once she walks into luna’s half finished bedroom and realizes what it’s supposed to be.

the three of them sprawled out on the grounds together in the sunshine. ginny’s head in luna’s lap. luna playing with ginny’s hair. and ginny is telling neville all about luna’s room. “you’ll have to come visit.” she is saying. and luna nodding in agreement.

neville opening up to them about his family. THE THREE OF THEM BOING BEST FRIENDS. AND THEN LEADING A REVOLUTION TOGETHER.
