this whole thing about the journalist who lied to gay athletes in rio in order to force them out of the closet may seem just a homophobic act that affects all the gay community in the surface but when you realize this man targeted men from nations where homosexuality is illegal or where intolerance is more alive you realize this has other tones, this is not only a homophobic act, this was viciously and carefully tought to denigrate and hurt athletes who don’t beloong to the so called ‘first world’ for a lot of reasons, included their sexual orientation but not limited to that and white gay guys need to realize this, you have the right to be outraged but is not really you the one being targeted, is not just men who were outed, whatever the type of dating app they were using or their motives but some of these men finally got the chance to have an interaction with another man that maybe in their countries would put their life in danger, this man took them away that and also humilliate them, they did nothing wrong and this stupid man decided to punish them not only for their orientation but for their nationality, their religion, their culture, their race so please consider that before putting yourself in the lead of a conversation.
