After Jack and Bitty are out for a while an interviewer asks what the hardest part of their relationship is. Jack goes silent with a little furrow in his brow and the reporters assume he’s going to talk about the hardships of being the NHL’s first gay couple. After a long silence Jack looks up, his face serious, and finally responds “whenever Bitty is mad at me he cooks all of my favorite foods knowing I can’t eat them because of my diet plan.”
There’s a long stretch of silence, broken by the hesitant chuckle of the reporter who asked the question “surely that can’t be the hardest part?”
Jack’s face remains a serious mask “I don’t think you understand how good Eric’s pies are.”
